Participants who signed up for this activity were 36 people, 23 male participants and 13 female participants. In the implementation, there were 32 male and female compositions were 19 and 13. First session on the first day was about PV material from Ferdijansyah, S. T., M. T. In this session, Muhammad Jahja, a participant from UNG understood that until now Indonesia has not been able to make solar panel plant because of its complicated and expensive process. In the second session, the training done by Eka Firmansyah, Ph. D. He explained about Microgrid Technlogy. In this session Nazrul Effendy from UGM asked whether the grid / network can be interpreted as a cable. Pak Eka replied that it was not that simple. Grid itself is a system, not just a cable that connects one point with another point.
The first session on the second day, is done by Mr. Irawan Eko, M. Eng. He explained the practical installation of solar panels. On this occasion, He also brought batteries, lamps, inverters, and several other tools to demonstrate how solar systems work. Furthermore, the second session was filled by I Wayan Mustika, Ph. D. He explained about the online energy monitoring system in a building, area and rural as well. The final session on the second day concludes with an explanation from Dwi Novitasari, M. T on HOMER software. This software will be usefull for hybrid system planning in rural or urban area as well.
The last day of training, participants visited Algae Park in Nogotirto. This is the big laboratory from the collaboration of Faculty of Biology and Department of Chemical Engineering UGM.
