Participants who are expected to attend this training are researchers and academics with the following requirements :
a. Minimum S2.
b. Willing to participate in full training of Research Collaboration in energy use in
building, passive design strategy, and Energy saving.
Number of training participants is expected as many as 25 people. The actual number of participants is 35 people.
The training is formatted to have a theory section and practice section. In the first day, participants learned about daylighting of building. Most of the training time focuses on the basic principles of the topics. In the afternoon, at the final session, the participants learn Daysim as a tools for daylight calculation. In the second day, participants got a lesson from building energy simulation expert, Dr, Ery Djunaedy. They learned about how simulation can help to reduce building energy. Before that, the participants were taught about builing science and materials. In the afternoon, they exposed to Openstudio and EnergyPlus software. In the final day, participants studied about parametric approach in computational design. In the final day, most of the training time is hands-on time, when all of participants tried to use Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and Ladybug-Honeybee. The software are used to get an optimum building design in terms of its environmental impact.
