This activity is well organized in 9 hours Meeting (December 19, 2019) at Rectorate, IPB University, Dramaga Bogor. Participants in this activity were 44 persons, which consists of scholars from Lead (IPB University), Affiliates, Partners of CCR ANBIOCORE. We had discussed some topics about research result and the future activity, research implementation, and research policies in animal biotechnology and fisheries. Each institutions had presented their achievements in the first year, and exit strategy for sustainability. ANBIOCORE research program for running and upcoming graduate and doctoral students has been started since 2017. Those research are spread through IPB University affiliates. With the topic of animal biotechnology and coral reef fisheries, some of them have been published within ANBIOCORE program. The publication is about artificial insemination, varieties of cattle frozen semen production, water buffalo potency in agricultural, coral bleaching impacts, introduced/invasive species growing over corals, sperms comparative morphology in mammals, etc. The results of the publication are expected to be one of the references for ANBIOCORE partners in the future in the fields of development, further research, marketing, spread awareness to the community, etc. Unfortunately, the research collaboration project will be closed down, due to USAID limited fund during this fiscal year. Therefore, ANBIOCORE needs to conduct a coordination meeting on updating the research progress and updating on the future research possibility. The coordination meeting is expected to invite ANBIOCORE affiliates, and partners in veterinary, animal husbandry, as well as fisheries and marine.
Both Veterinary research cluster and Fisheries research cluster agreed to continue their collaboration in reserach and education, even though funding from USAID will be terminated. CCR ANBIOCORE plan to propose some funding from BRIN or BRIDGE-U. Veterinary research cluster will continue their study with the topic of local bull for meat and milk production. Fisheries research cluster will continue their study in marine conservation zone.
Both veterinary research cluster and fisheries research cluster have difficulty in determining general research topic would be submitted for sustainability. They also concepted the elaboration of postgraduate education programs for CCR ANBIOCORE's affiliates and partners.
Coordination meeting in this consortium is very needed as a learning process in making policy brief.
The result of research should be monitored continuously until it becomes policy brief
