1. To increase the number of women participation in research and innovation 2. To emphasize women for their role and contribution to science technology and community 3. To achieve the target of key performance index in addressing the gender equity and female empowerment in science and technology research 4. To propose possibility of protocol of women role in ANBIOCORE’s researches and innovations.

This activity is well organized in 4 hours talkshow (December 20, 2019) at Auditorium FMIPA, IPB University, Dramaga Bogor. Participants in this activity approximately were 145 persons, which consists of management staff from lead (IPB University), affiliates, partners, students, and etc. We had invited 5 speakers: 1. Prof. Dr. Ir. Erika Budiarti Laconi (Wakil Rektor Bidang Inovasi, Bisnis dan Kewirausahaan, IPB University) 2. Prof. dr. Pratiwi P. Sudarmono, PhD (Ahli Mikrobiologi Universitas Indonesia | GE Inspiring Woman in STEM Award 2019) 3. Prof. Dr. dr. Cissy B. Kartasasmita, M. Sc (Professor of Pediatrics Universitas Padjadjaran | Program Director CCR ARI – USAID SHERA) 4. Dr. Ir. Woro Nur Endang Sariati, M. P. (Kepala Balai Uji Standar Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan) 5. Marlina Dumasari Nasution, PhD (Director of Biostatistics at Parexel International Biopharmaceutical Services Company, USA) Moderator for this event is: Dr. Yessie Widya Sari, M. Si (L’Oreal – UNESCO for Women in Science Award 2018} We had discussed about role of women in research and innovation. Some of the publications are designed and prepared by women researchers. Unfortunately, the proportion of women researchers are still out-numbered by men, especially in IPB University. Although by times and technology increases, the discrepancy for the number is decreasing. It is proven in IPB University researchers with high index in the last few years is given to woman researcher. The term of high index is the level of productivity and citation of international publications. The active participation of women in research and innovation in various scientific fields is certainly very important. Considering the sustainable development is based on the level of research productivity covering a variety of sciences that can be disseminated and implemented to the community in an appropriate and targeted manner. A lot of national and international programs in the last five years which focused and committed to increase women researchers' careers, were happening. Those programs include awarding research funds and acknowledgment of their contribution to science in Indonesia. Talkshow: The role of women in research and innovation is designed as an event to trigger more women scholars to actively participate in various fields of science and applied knowledge hence even able to innovate. The talkshow had gathered women scholars to share passion and contribution that could make participants eager to follow their footsteps to contribute to science and applied knowledge, as well as to implement it to the community.

Representative from each institution of CCR ANBIOCORE (Lead, Affiliates and Partners) had signed the declaration to improve role of women in research and innovation.

Some participants were very enthusiastic having many questions to the speaker, but time was limited.

All the speakers have given motivation to the audience, especially for women to increase their publications or research activities, without renounce their role as a wife or mother.

This event is very needed to motivate female students and researchers.
