SMART CITY completed the monitoring of the research groups' progress to determine the sub-grant disbursement. The research activity was started in April 2018 and was supposed to be done in April 2019. Amendments were made, since only two research groups completed in April, to prolong the research period until October 31st, 2019. The final monitoring was completed from November 1st to 4th to determine the outcome of the activity.

Out of eight research groups who got amendments, three groups completed the requirement and one completed half the requirement. These groups had received the rest of their sub-grant, while the other four had their agreed sub-grant annulled. An official report was made to summarize the monitoring result.

Some of the groups did not submit their progress so an independent checking had to be done

All research groups had confirmed their progress and signed the final official report that stated each groups' status. It also stated that SMART CITY would not require them to submit more research output and the research group would not charge any research grant after the agreed date. The official reports are currently being signed by both parties (SMART CITY and research group representative).
