Objectives:

Repeating PCR-RFLP analysis using Anza 86.

Results:

Nine samples (#9, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) were digested. The ammount of enzyme used in RFLP was 1 mL and reaction mixture was incubated for 2 hrs 30 minutes. Four out of 9 samples analyzed showed positive results.

Challenges:

Unsuccessful digestion of some samples probably due to electricity black out for at least 2 hours during experiment.

Best Practices:

Teaching scholars in PCR-RFLP using Anza 86 restriction enzyme.

Lessons Learned:

PCR-RFLP of FABP4 gene.

Follow-up:

Continuing PC-RFLP experiment.
